Just a quick note to congratulate you on a fantastic season and for devoting your best skills, coaching advice, and HEART to help our girls advance as far as they did this season!  I am thoroughly impressed not only with your soccer skills, knowledge and abilities, but most especially with your coaching style, manner and personality. W is incredibly fortunate to have someone with your abilities available to work with our girls. Thank you for all that you did to help the girls advance as far as they did.

Thank you!

Stu is by far, the best visionary coach I have met and I have been with Bob Bradley and other National level coaches.  Stu has an innate ability to read the game and make changes at half time that totally turn a game around.  He is an amazing soccer mind.  Any team that would have Stu as their coach would be blessed!

I've been involved in athletics all my life. I've coached, was a licensed refereed, was in my college athletic Hall of Fame and am passionate about character development through athletics.

I've seen more than most - good, badly, ugly and exceptional.

You're at the top of the heap, Stu. And it's not about the game in which you excel - it's about the desire and motivation you bring out in your players. Character development and instilling the desire to improve separates the good from the exceptional.
You're exceptional.

Whatever you pursue, I'd be honored to act as a reference because you'll continue to bless many!

You are a positive energy force that the players have the good fortune to try to emulate each and every day. Frankly, even if the season hadn't ended on such a high note, the expectations you establish on and off the field (who knew the boys could keep a neater locker room than the girls!) and the commitment you exhibit every day to the team cannot help but lead to a bright future. Thanks so much for all you've done and the abundance of opportunities you offer the players to keep their skills on an upward trajectory. I think the confidence they have gained as a team will serve them well next season and beyond.

Also, a personal thank you for the very diplomatic way you handled a variety of issues at the parent meeting. Your tact is invaluable as we work to move the team and the entire sports program to new heights.

Hats off to you!

We wanted to thank you for your outstanding commitment to coaching the team.  On a personal note, I don't know if you remember, but when I first met you I told you that you had the daunting task of getting my boys to love their new school, as you were their first impression (and they were still unsure about leaving our old hometown).  Well, you surpassed that hope.  C LOVED having you as a coach this year.  He's had some very impressive coaches over the years in travel soccer; so to say this is very huge.  He appreciated your commitment, your seriousness, your fun side, and your teaching skills.  He really appreciated how you were able to keep the team focused as a unit, in good times and bad, encouraging every single player to play their best, for the team (not for themselves) and supporting each other along the way.

Thank you so much, and we hope to see you back next season!

Sincerely,
AW

So how cool is this?  From relative obscurity to newspaper covered champions in two years.  You’ve done a fantastic job with the team and we’re very grateful for what you do and what you’ve done.

Cheers –

I think you would have been proud of the way the boys’ soccer team played today.  They played hard without being rough.  They were resilient without being chippy. They fought without fighting.  It was a perfectly played game.  We lost, but it was a great game to watch.  We'll get them next time.  Dean Smith always said, "You can't beat a team 3 times in a season."

Please know that the past two years we have been with you, have been extremely rewarding on both a soccer level and personally for my family.  I know that you have touched all of these girls' lives and it has been fun watching you form relationships with them all.  We will have a great spring season and toast everyone at the end.

Thank you for your continued dedication.

I'm always very thankful for your devotion and time, but thanks a lot for all the guidance today.  I have a different perspective on the situation than I did when we started the conversation.  Though your team jokes about you being long-winded, that hour plus of your life was devoted entirely to my daughter's future, and I appreciate it!

Now, go to work!

Your words are encouraging, yet grounding at the same time. Boy, will we miss you!

Please know that we appreciate you for the love you've put into this team. You have unselfishly given us your time and talent and words cannot express our gratitude. You have made H feel welcome from her first day, accepting her unique outlook on life, her sheer joy of being active, and her love of being a part of something bigger than herself. You get H and you let her be her quirky self, and as a Mom I couldn't ask for anything more. All that, and you've helped her discover she does have what it takes to play travel soccer!

Thank you,
KK
